2026 StudentCPT Leadership Conference Recap

SLC

This year’s StudentCPT Leadership Conference (SLC) was held in Park City, UT, from June 22-24. The conference was held in conjunction with the NASBA Western Regional Meeting, allowing students to network with Board of Accountancy representatives and NASBA leaders with the goal of making impactful connections during the two-day conference.

Throughout the SLC, students heard from ethical leaders on how to navigate their college and professional careers with integrity and intention. Presentations covered topics such as networking, ethical decision-making and whistleblowing. There was also a question-and-answer panel featuring a handful of NASBA Center for the Public Trust (CPT) board members. Students enjoyed the opportunity to ask seasoned professionals questions about their careers and how they’ve approached ethical leadership.

Team-building exercises were built into the agenda, including a debate session where teams were assigned ethical dilemmas to discuss and navigate as a group. The interactive exercises encouraged students to adopt various points of view and hear from others about the obstacles that might arise when attempting to solve common ethical issues in the workplace.

Overall, the conference was one of the most successful to date, with 56 student leaders representing 29 colleges and universities in attendance. Students and professionals alike appreciated the opportunity to connect and discuss the importance of leading with integrity.
