Teeing Up the Next Generation of Ethical Leaders

Today’s college graduates are entering one of the most complex workforce environments in recent history. Rapid advancements in technology, post-pandemic workplace shifts, and evolving employer expectations have created new challenges for young professionals. That’s why the NASBA Center for the Public Trust (CPT) is hosting its annual CPT Golf Classic on May 18, 2026. Proceeds raised from the Classic will support the launch of the CPT’s Young Professionals Program —aimed at strengthening the next generation of ethical leaders.

Recent studies show 64 percent of young people fear layoffs within the next year, while 87 percent feel unprepared for work in the modern workplace. Subsequently, six in 10 employers admit to having fired a Gen-Z, at times only months after hiring them. Even more alarming, one in six employers shared they were hesitant to hire recent graduates altogether.

For years, the CPT has impacted tens of thousands of students across more than 300 colleges and universities nationwide, fulfilling the organization’s mission of developing, empowering, and promoting ethical leaders. The Young Professionals Program extends that mission beyond the university setting, ensuring the CPT continues to support students as they transition into the workforce.

Through mentoring, skill-building webinars, professional Q&A sessions, and practical development resources, the program will equip emerging leaders with the ethical foundation, confidence, and real-world skills needed to thrive.

By participating in the 2026 CPT Golf Classic at The Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, TN, you are investing in more than teeing off on a picturesque course — you are investing in the future of ethical leadership. Your support helps ensure young professionals become more than workforce statistics — emerging instead as confident contributors who strengthen their organizations and communities.
