- Donny Burkett, Board Chair, was named in the Forbes 2025 Best-In-State CPAs.
- The CPT’s’s newest board member, Jen Cryder, and board treasurer, Barry Berkowitz, both attended the annual Spring Meeting of Council hosted by the AICPA in Washington, DC, this May. Berkowitz, along with two AICPA Council members and Adam Batchelor, the chief operating officer of the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs (PICPA), had the chance to meet with the chief of staff for Senator John Fetterman (D-PA), Krysta Juris. They discussed issues facing the accounting profession and asked for support regarding various bills pertaining to accounting that are currentlymoving through Congress.
- Kent Noble serves as the advisor to the University of Wyoming StudentCPT chapter. Each year, the chapter hosts SparkTank, a SharkTank-style show that raises money for local nonprofit organizations. Since its inaugural year in 2018, SparkTank has raised $743,000 for local nonprofits with a total economic impact of over $3,000,000. The 2025 effort was no slouch- yielding $165,000 of the total proceeds raised.
- Delbert Madison of Montgomery, AL, was named as a finalist for Person of the Year by the YMCA of Greater Montgomery. Madison was nominated for his year of meaningful service to his community.
