About the Ethical Leadership Certification Program

The Ethical Leadership Certification Program (ELCP) launched in spring 2014 and since then over 30,000 students have been certified in ethical leadership. This interactive online tool allows students to identify ethical issues, learn how to respond to ethical dilemmas and enhance their ethical decision-making abilities.

Tips from the CPT for Professors

Below are tips and tricks that are proven to work well inside and outside of the classroom. Feel free to adjust them to fit within your class structure.

-Assign one (1) module every two weeks within a 12-week course or assign one (1) module every week within a six-week course.

-Use the Discussion Questions PDF and PowerPoint to spark class conversation about the information students are learning outside of the classroom.

-Encourage students to upload their transcript and certificate to their school’s portal (Blackboard, etc.). Once uploaded, professors and instructors will be able to view the time and date of program completion via the student’s transcript.

-Send reminder emails to students from within the ELCP platform host, Thought Industries.

Module 6 – The Ethics Dash

In the spring of 2021, the NASBA Center for the Public Trust (CPT) partnered with Red Flag Mania to provide an interactive case study experience for students. During the Ethics Dash, learners watch a short film, review over 20 pieces of evidence, “red flag” suspicious activity, complete the fraud triangle framework for each culprit and determine who committed the fraud.
