Ethics Matters

Q2 2024

The Washington S.T.E.M. Elementary School recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of its partnership with Stop & Shop’s Food Pantry Program. To celebrate, Triston Cases, first baseman of the Boston Red Sox, surprised the school with 500 Red Sox tickets to be used during a field trip at the start of the next school year and conducted a meet and greet with the students.

Stop & Shop works directly with schools to establish and support food pantries to ensure that kids do not have to go to school hungry, and to help them perform their best. Stop & Shop Food Pantries nourish students ranging from pre-K through college. The Boston Red Sox and Stop & Shop have joined forces to ‘Strike Out School Hunger’ with a pledge to donate 10,000,000 meals annually to students who are facing food insecurity.
