2023 Ethics in Action Video Competition

The NASBA Center for the Public Trust (CPT) is focused on helping individuals identify and respond to ethical dilemmas in their careers. To support this goal, the CPT is challenging students to create videos that demonstrate the types of challenging ethical dilemmas people could face in their careers as part of the 2023 Ethics in Action Video Competition.

Students from across the country are invited to submit Ethics in Action commercials and short films for a chance to win up to $1,000 in prizes. The competition is split into two judging sequences: Viewer’s Choice – where peers, family members and CPT supporters vote for their favorite videos and Judge’s Choice – where CPT board members will review and score the videos based on originality, clarity, relevance, and critical thinking skills.

Dr. Carolyn Conn, Clinical Assistant Professor- Accounting, Texas State University, who had multiple students place in last year’s competition shared, “I am excited to say that, once again, I’m requiring my graduate ethics students to prepare a video according to the specifications of the CPT’s Ethics in Action competition (for the Short Film category). The student teams will be given the option of whether they want to submit their video to the competition, but I expect that most of them will.”

The 2023 Ethics in Action Video Competition is open through March 27, 2023. Upload your video to YouTube and paste your video link into the official online entry form for a chance to win. Winners will be announced beginning of April 2023.
