Fastow to discuss “Rules vs. Principles” at UNM StudentCPT Meeting

The securities fraud investigation and downfall of Enron is one of the high-profile scandals that led to the establishment of the NASBA Center for the Public Trust (CPT).

Andy Fastow, former CFO of Enron, will be discussing his role in the scandal and what it means to follow rules while upholding principles as part of the The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the University of New Mexico Nov. 24.

The Daniels Fund was founded by Bill Daniels, a pioneer in cable television known for his kindness and generosity to those in need. The Daniels Fund was established to provide grants and scholarships in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

The Daniels Fund specifically provides $1.25 million to UNM for five years of funding for business ethics education. The Daniels Fund also provided funding for the CPT’s Ethical Leadership Certification Program.
