StudentCPT Programs You May Not Even Know Exist: How to Get Involved This Upcoming Semester

Hey students! Do you feel “stuck”? Are you looking for more out of your college experience? Set yourself apart from others as an ethical leader this upcoming semester with the following NASBA Center for the Public Trust (CPT) StudentCPT program offerings.

StudentCPT Chapter Program

Join the StudentCPT chapter on your campus! StudentCPT chapter members attend at least two meetings a semester and participate in at least one community service project a year. From speakers to role-play scenarios, to themed meetings and everything in between, chapter members learn how to be ethical leaders while having fun!

There are chapters located throughout the United States, the University of the Virgin Islands and the University of Guam.

Ethical Leadership Certification Program

A CPT flagship program, the Ethical Leadership Certification Program (ELCP), was designed to help students identify ethical issues and learn how to respond to them. The program is broken up into six, one-hour modules featuring flying text, What Would You Do polls, real life scenarios, and interviews with ethics experts.

Many schools have sponsorship funds set aside for ethics-related programming, so check with your school about potential scholarships. Learn more about the ELCP and pricing here.

Ethics in Action Video Competition

Each year, students from across the country submit videos showing the CPT what they know about business ethics with the potential to win prizes totaling in nearly $4,000. This program is open to StudentCPT and non-StudentCPT affiliated schools. Check out last year’s competition winners here.

Campus Being a Difference Awards

The CPT’s student award program, the Campus Being a Difference Awards, recognize individuals who make big impacts in their community and on campus. Most of StudentCPT chapters take nominations from the general student body. If you know a faculty member or student worthy of the award, reach out to your local StudentCPT chapter or submit a nomination here.

Lead with Integrity

Lead with Integrity (LWI) is offered every fall and spring semester. This free, virtual leadership series offers students the opportunity to learn from national recognized speakers and leaders! Topics covered include dangers of goal setting, equality and equity, accountability, networking, the story of a whistleblower, and more!

LWI is open to both StudentCPT members and non-studentCPT affiliated college students.

StudentCPT Leadership Conference

This in-person conference focuses on character development, chapter development, and of course leadership training! Each summer, the CPT hosts the StudentCPT Leadership Conference (SLC) in conjunction with a NASBA Regional Meeting. This two and a half day conference also allows students to network with other leaders and NASBA conference attendees.

Full and partial scholarships are available to attendees thanks to generous donations made to the CPT.

Speaking Opportunities

CPT staff members are available to speak with your student body on an array of topics, such as leadership, ethics, teamwork, networking, accountability, diversity, and inclusion, etc. Email [email protected] to book a speaking engagement today!
