The Art of Balancing CPA Exam Study with Work

By Stacy Ray, Senior Program Manager, Becker CPA Review

Summer is in the air. Instead of turning your thoughts to sun drenched beaches, many of you will be embarking on internships or full time employment. With a little bit of discipline and careful planning, you can make the most of the summer and get started on the path to becoming a CPA!  Below are five tips that helped me study for the exam while working:

Before You Apply for Your Next Job…

By Ryan W. Hirsch, CPT Program Manager, NASBA

For those who work 30 or more hours per week, careers can consume a large percentage of your time and energy, each week. So if you’re going to work, you better do something you enjoy.

But is that really possible? Isn’t work just something you do to get a paycheck, so you can spend money on the things and people you value most? Recruiting and Retaining Engaged Members

By Carmen Strand, Delta Eta Chapter, Seattle University

As we begin to wind down another school year, we look back on what we have accomplished this year, and what we may do better next year. One thing that I know all Beta Alpha Psi chapters probably think about each year is how to recruit and retain members who are engaged and committed to being part of an outstanding chapter. This is always a goal for our chapter, and having attended the regional and national conferences, I know this is something that is important to every chapter. At the Northwest Regional Conference last month, I talked with members from several other chapters, and we shared ideas and success stories. The following is what we have done that has made a real impact on the Delta Eta Chapter at Seattle University.
