NASBA President and CEO Daniel Dustin, CPA, recently named Sedrik Newbern to serve as the president of the NASBA Center for the Public Trust (CPT), effective August 1, 2024.  

As CPT president, Newbern will manage the day-to-day operations of the non-profit ethics and leadership organization along with the growing number of CPT programs. In addition to heading the CPT, Newbern will also serve as chief ethics officer of NASBA.  As Chief Ethics Officer, Newbern will oversee ethics compliance for the organization and will represent NASBA in ethics related activities within the accounting profession. 

Jasmine Gaetano will continue to serve as student programs manager. She will oversee all programming related to StudentCPT chapters, assist in the planning of the StudentCPT Leadership Conference (SLC) and maintain the CPT’s professional partnerships. 

Alyssa Gallas will now serve as operations manager, where she will oversee the CPT’s professional programming and services, manage communications and marketing systems, and lead in coordinating CPT conferences and events.
